The one photograph you will keep forever
Twenty-one thousand kilometres of wall, built and rebuilt over two thousand years across mountain ridges where no sane engineer would put anything. Mutianyu is the stretch that runs the ridgeline north of Beijing, watchtower to watchtower.

Hard climb · Road, stone steps
Village roads through the chestnut hills, a long rolling middle section, and then the last two kilometres on the Wall itself. This is the hardest running of the fourteen days: uneven stone steps of every height, built by people who were not thinking about your quadriceps. It is also the one photograph you will keep forever.

Day 9
The Wall is the course, so the visit is the run. The latest start of the seven — 08:00 for the early wave, 09:30 for the main field — takes the edge off a March morning at 4 °C.

Sixty people will see the seven wonders this way.
Places are allocated in order of deposit. Finishers of any Runbuk event may reserve before general registration opens.
